If Jaime could describe herself with one phrase it would be, "old soul".

She spent most of her childhood in Orlando, Florida listening to her dad's record collection and attempting to master the art of drawing, like her mom. Birthdays meant Disney World and summers were spent in the pool, having diving competitions with her older brother, Aaron. Florida will always have a place in her heart, and she hopes to one day return to her home state.

At the age of eight, she moved to the small town of Cleveland, Tennessee. Here, she completed high school as an Honor Student and active member of the Show Choir. While she loved her family and friends in Cleveland, she had larger aspirations to pursue and moved to Murfreesboro to attend Middle Tennessee State University. Her dad instilled a passion for photography in her at an early age, prompting an initial major in Photography; but Jaime soon realized her true dream of becoming a graphic designer. During her time at MTSU, Jaime became a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity and cultivated some of the most meaningful friendships that she still cherishes today. She held the office of Treasurer for four consecutive years, before taking alumna status in the Spring of 2012. While attending school, Jaime began working as a receptionist at Urban Image Salon, where she formed a family-like relationship with her co-workers. She also discovered and developed a passion for running, completing two half marathons within a calendar year.

In 2013, her life changed with the news that Nate would be relocating to Texas. Jaime didn't think twice and decided to begin a new adventure to follow Nate's dreams with him. After settling in to Texas, Jaime began putting the pieces of her own dreams together. She worked as a freelance graphic designer in the past, including dabbling in website design, but she really wanted to discover a way to capitalize on that creativity while retaining the freedom to choose the projects she felt passionate about. So, she began PoppyPress Designs, opening a store on Etsy and offering custom designs and gifts. During this time she also began focusing on perfecting her art of calligraphy by taking the time to do 30 different calligraphy projects over the course of a month for friends, family, and fans of PoppyPress. While it has taken time to take off, PoppyPress is starting to carve its niche in the design world and Jaime is filling design orders from all over the world.
